Sally Summerfield – It has come to the attention of the BOT that cars are being parked overnight on the street. This is a violation of Rule 8. Overnight parking is allowed in the designated parking area (see Rule 8) with prior consent of the BOT. It has also come to the attention of the BOT that residents are parking in the street and impeding the safe exit from residents’ driveways. This a violation of Rule 2. If you must park in the street during the day, please do so with consideration of your neighbors. And please note that cars parked on the street are not allowed on any portion of the grass!

Notice Regarding Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector Recall
Steven Tancrell, Deputy Fire Chief of Uxbridge, attended the Trustees meeting yesterday and asked that we notify all Summerfield residents of a recall on Kidde combination smoke/carbon monoxide detectors (attached). He has found that many of the units in our neighborhood have these Kidde alarms installed and they are not working. These detectors work for only about 7 years and then emit a beeping sound to indicate that they have reached the end of their working life. If you replace the battery and test them, they indicate that they are working again. However, if you test them a second time, they do not work. You can test your unit by pressing the center button on the alarm. If the detector does not sound, it needs to be replaced. If you have any doubts or questions, you can contact Steven Tancrell at 508-278-2787 (office) or 508-341-2680 (cell) and he will be happy to come to your home to test the units.

THANKS to Bob Risio for bringing this to our attention.
